Measuring our programs makes us better.

Evaluation of programs ensures that they are functioning effectively, using resources wisely, and better serving our young participants and their families.

How We Evaluate

There are three questions that inspire our evaluations:

  1. Are we achieving our goals for participant skill development?
  2. Are there ways in which we need to improve? Are there barriers that need to be addressed?
  3. How can we showcase the positive impact our programs have on the lives of participants?

Parks and Recreation Ontario HIGH FIVE® QUEST2® surveys are evidence-based evaluations that help us to collect info about program delivery over five assessment areas, including: Leader-Child Interactions, Supervision and Safety, Child-to-Child Interactions, Leader Behaviour and Interactions, and Program Characteristics and Supports.

Assessments are observation-based, completed by trained evaluators and results inform staff and volunteer training, as well as programmatic improvements.

Please see the following retrospective that captures five years of program assessment at CLK.

The Parent Satisfaction Survey collects direct feedback from the primary caregivers of our program participants. These are conducted online or in-person at the end of every program year and the feedback we receive provides valuable insight and fosters meaningful connections with families.

It is important to know that our program aligns with what parents expect, as we collaborate, build trust and create a more supportive learning environment for their children.
