Our volunteers make up the vibrant community of caring individuals committed to delivering the quality programs that all children deserve.
Every year, we engage over 200 volunteers who give their time and skills to our cause. They come from all backgrounds and walks of life, from high school students to industry leaders. It is a diverse and passionate community dedicated to bringing joy and success to young lives and building long-lasting connections.

STAR City Programs Volunteer in our afterschool programs.
Whether you like basketball, the arts, hockey, cooking, soccer, rock climbing, martial arts, STEM, or simply love spending time with kids and want to make an impact in their lives, we have a program for you! We run after school for 1-2 hours in various locations across Ottawa.
Leaders in Training Programs Become a mentor: help youth navigate their teen years and build successful futures.
Volunteers connect with youth ages 13-17 every week for 3 hours to create a safe and inclusive space that empowers them to become leaders in their communities. We ask volunteers with our L.I.T. program to attend weekly sessions in order to establish meaningful, influential and positive relationships with our youth.

Junior staff opportunities are available for ages 15-17 at our sleepaway camp near Perth. Spend the summer leading fun skill-building activities like canoeing, rock climbing, swimming, and hiking, and earn 650 high school volunteers hours making a huge impact in the lives of children and youth.
